How to setup 2FA (two-factor authentication)

We have updated our 2FA methods and you can choose to use a 2FA App like Google Authenticator (recommended) or with a one-time code via email. 

2FA Setup Process

Go to login page and enter your login credentials.

You will receive a warning that 2Fa has been enabled on your account and that you have a week to set it up.

Click the “Configure 2FA now” button and you will be taken to the Two-factor authentication settings page. Click the "Configure 2FA" button.

On the pop-up window, choose the 2FA method:

1. One-time code via 2FA app (recommended)

2. One-time code via email

Important: Before You Begin

In order to set up 2 factor authentication with the 2FA app option, you will need to have an authenticator app on your phone. We recommend that you use Google Authenticator, which you can download from the Apple App Store here or the Google Play Store here.

Choose the "One-time code via 2FA app" option and click the "Next Step" button.

• Open your authenticator app on your phone or tablet. We recommend the Google Authenticator App. Here is a video about how to set it up.
• Scan the QR code with your authenticator app, or enter the code manually in the application.
• After you have completed the above steps in your authenticator app, click the “I’m ready” button at the bottom let of the popup.

Enter the code from your authenticator app. For Google Authenticator, this is a 6 digit numerical code.

Confirm your email address as backup and click the “Save 2FA backup email address” button.

Congrats, 2FA is now configured with your 2FA App.

2. Email

Choose the "One-time code via email" option and click the "Next Step" button.

Review the email instructions and click the "I'm ready" button.

Check your inbox. (Note: It might take 5 to 10 minutes to get the email. If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder.) Copy the one time code from the email sent to you.

Enter the code in the pop-up and click "Validate and save".

Congrats, 2FA is now configured with email.

Login with Email Backup

Login as usual for the 2FA verification screen. Click the “Or, send me a code to my email” link at the bottom.

Receive the email and copy the code.

Paste the code in the authentication prompt.

You will be taken to the account area where you can click the button to “Launch College Search”.
